My Healthy start to 2013 and DRYATHLON...
So like everyone I started the new year with a long list of things to achieve and change this year. I decided to be as dramatic as possible and turned mine into an amazing wishlist. It included actors and directors I want to work with, places I want to visit, skills I wanted to learn and more.
So far its all going to plan..My January schedule was to get focused and off to a good start. Aside of all the normal day to day work stuff I commited to do a 30 day Bikram Yoga challenge and a charity Dryathlon..
My 30 day Bikram Yoga is up to day 20 days in a row today,im loving it, having the daily schedule of challenging exercise combined with time to meditate and focus on yourself is so rewarding. This is something im going to try keep as part of my ongoing routine. First step is getting my 30 day challenge trophy though!!
Also as everyone knows me knows that im a huge party animal so the next challenge was my Dryathlon which im doing for Cancer Research UK.For those that dont know what it is, its basically a sponsored attempt to stay of ANY alcohol for the entire month of January. I'm not going to lie I was dreading this but on day 28 I can honestly say im starting to not even miss it. Im also really proud of myself for making it through my birthday sober, 2 family events and a few get togethers at the pub. Just shows you what you can do if you put your mind to it :)
If you want to sponsor my sobriety and give money to Cancer Research you can text a donation to 70070 with my code ZELD99 and the amount your giving..either 1,2,3,5 or 10 pounds..
Remember every penny helps xx

TJ's Newport Sep 17th
Me and Kitty Cointreau travelled down to Newport for our TJ's gig feeling absolutley shattered after so much work recently, we wre meeting Cardiff Kitty there..the great thing was when we arrived it turned out that loads of people had travelled from all over Wales just to see us so we had a great greeting before we even entered the club!! Brilliant, that woke us up..we got ready to grace the TJ's rock stage for the first time after years of trying to arrange it with the promoter Dave- we were always away when he wanted us down!! TJ's in pretty notorious, i love the wall the venue has that boasts posters of its past gigs including the likes of Greenday,Oasis, Manics, the Cranberries etc and Kurt Cobain was there also while Courtany Love did her gig so we were in good company having our poster up!!
We did two sets for the raucious crowd that had travelled to see us ( no excuse pritch and daint for the disappearing act-at least pritch called with a good reason, him, hudge and dav were at home wasted and couldnt function enough to get themselves to Newport from Cardiff ;) ).
Much fun was had, we had a mingle with the crowd before back in the car we were and travelling home which in my drunken snoring state in the back of the car felt like 10 mins..Thanks Killian for driving!!
